I travel all across the country and do my best to stop in at the nearest HD dealer. Admittedly, it's to buy a dealer shirt..but it's also to check out what they offer, the assortment of bikes and see how they compare to my local guys.
Arrowhead Harley has...by far...the best customer service I have ever experienced at a dealer. This was a middle of the week (Tuesday) and there seemed to be ton of employees around. Granted, they were probably getting ready for the whole Black Friday crowd..but there was not one employee who did not greet me with a smile and say hello. No selling, no pushing, no bothering...just good eye contact and a friendly hello. Every one in uniform, clean and focused on business.
As I browsed, the typical dealership cute girl came walking by...and said to find her if I needed anything. That was it...that was the whole pitch. The dealership had a good array of clothes (for me, the wife and the kids), though they could use a few more shirt types (see Ventura Harley for the best shirt collection), and a blistering array of bikes, including rentals (on the floor) and a few beautiful customs...loved the red EG modified and with a completely blacked out engine. It gave me some great ideas for my new builder.

I spent about 15 minutes outside, shooting the shit with one of the sales people. He had been up the Cali coast before and we talked bikes, rides, weather and all about the bike. If I was in the market to buy, I probably would have done it at that dealer.
Next time you're in the Phoenix area, take a ride to the west side and visit Arrowhead Harley.
